1. Who is responsible
Telos Strategy Academy is operated by Kobara Family Trust (ABN 39 665 243 798). We are the data controller responsible for your personal information and handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and, where it applies, the GDPR.
2. What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, job title, organisation, login credentials) — to create and run your account. Basis: contract.
- Content you enter (answers to coaching questions, strategy drafts, value maps) — to provide the tools and save your work. Basis: contract.
- Subscription status (plan, renewal dates) — to control access. Payment card details are handled by Paddle, not us. Basis: contract.
- Messages you send us — to answer questions and provide support. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser details, usage logs) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the site. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails, only if you opt in. Basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Who we share it with
- Service providers who host the site, store data, sign you in and run the AI tools.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, managing subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
- Authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information. Some providers store data outside Australia; we use providers with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
5. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data isolation.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your progress. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear these in your browser settings, though you will be signed out.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy, or withdraw consent. Email telos.strategy@icloud.com; we respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data protection authority.
